how do I delete a old pass from the wallet app?

In the Wallet app, tap on the pass, then tap on the info icon on the pass to see settings and more information:
On the info screen, tap on Delete to remove the pass.

Turns out that the main problem is the app has a bug that over sizes the view so you can not see any of the icons such as info, even though the 6s is not set to zoom.
The work around is to set your 6s to zoom in settings which increases the size of apps etc but decreases all the information on the wallet app so you can see the info icon annoying but it works.

You may find that updating your iPhone software resolves that issue.
Released yesterday, iOS 9.1 contains fixes including: "Resolves an issue that zoomed the content of some apps".

MIssed that update for some reason , updated and it's all good.
Now just have to wait to use the payment section when it goes live in my country.
